Cheap Leaflets - How to design Leaflets and Flyers

Good design is critical to a successful campaign. Where do you start. Well, we'd recommend hiring us, or a professional designer, or else at least someone who's designed for print before. However, if you don't have the budget for that, and you're not a designer but feel confident about doing it then here are a few tips. First of all, graphic design is about communicating a message. So lay things out in a way that will get your message across effectively and naturally. Also a little humour and creativity can help, especially to get attention. Remember people will look at your leaflet or flyer in a set order almost every time. They'll look at images first, followed by titles, then captions and call-out boxes. These are all critical for getting attention and making a first impression. People also tend to look from left to right - the same wy they read, and when turning a page will normally give more attention to the page on the right than the one on the left. This is all worth bearing in mind to communicate effectively. Be confident in your approach, and try different things. Try things like just putting a title or business name on one side of a flyer, and the rest of the text on the other side, perhaps in the lower right quadrant only. Be sure to pick some good images. You can search for royalty free images, or if you're really on a tight budget try www.sxc.hu/. You'll find the high resolution images needed for print. Be sure to watch our tutorial for the technical aspects. Best wishes with it!
